Our Programs
At Roseville Area Optimists Foundation, our programs provide youth scholarships, a character development initiative, civic education, and special projects such as sponsoring Ukrainian students. All our programs have a youth and community focus.
Character Development Initiative
Board of Direction
- Long Range goal of whole community engagement
- Starting with small projects
Projects with Roseville Area Schools:
- Strategic Plan involvement
- Student job interviews with career classes – Regular program, multiple trimesters
- AVID interviews follow-up: Connecting students to Job and Volunteer opportunities
- Framework: Connecting the opportunities, transportation: seeding the project
Youth Scholarships
- Serving Youth is a central tenet of the Roseville Area Optimist Club
- We’ve been providing students scholarships since the club's inception.
- Typically, the scholarships are awarded based on student papers written about optimism.
Special Support Projects-Ukrainian Youth Leadership Program
- The Roseville Area Optimists Foundation financially and physically supports an annual visit by Ukrainian teenagers to learn about democracy and business in the United States. This is an opportunity to educate and motivate the next generation of leaders in Ukraine.
